Bronze, concrete, cast iron, and steel,
6’ h x 1-9” w x 1-9″ d,
This piece can currently be seen at The Haen Gallery in Brevard, NC.
This piece is named Ádh, (pronounced “Ah”), the Irish word for luck. The overall form was inspired by the Caherdaniel Ogham Stone in County Kerry, Ireland. This standing stone features a fissure running length-wise through its middle.
I was intrigued by the concept of two halves forming a whole and the dual nature of luck — the luck you receive versus the luck that you create yourself.
